1. General provisions
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Terav (the “Service”). By using the Service, the
user acknowledges that they have read and accepted these terms.
If a user does not agree with these terms, in whole or in part, they must discontinue use of the
Service.
2. Scope and intended use
Terav provides professional tools for: (a) clinical case chat support in veterinary practice; and
(b) recognition and interpretation of laboratory results from PDFs and images.
The Service is intended solely for licensed veterinary professionals (individuals) aged 18 or older.
3. Professional autonomy
The Service is an informational and analytical aid and does not replace professional clinical
judgment. All diagnostic and treatment decisions remain solely with the user.
4. Account and access security
Registration via email may be required. Users must keep authentication credentials confidential and
promptly report any suspected unauthorized access.
5. Acceptable use
- The Service must not be used for unlawful purposes.
- Users must not attempt to bypass security measures or gain unauthorized access.
Users represent that they have lawful grounds to upload and process documents, including
laboratory data.
Users are responsible for compliance with applicable data-protection and confidentiality
obligations.
6. Third-party providers
To operate the Service, we may use OpenAI, Anthropic, Namecheap, and Cloudflare R2. Polar provides
checkout and subscription-management services as described in Section 7. Information about the data
used for these purposes is provided in our
Privacy Policy.
7. Plans, payments, and subscriptions
7.1. Purchasing through Polar
Terav offers paid access through Polar, which acts as Merchant of Record and authorized reseller for
purchases made through its checkout. Terav remains the operator and supplier of the Service. These
Terms govern your use of Terav; Polar’s
Buyer Terms
govern its checkout and payment services. Mandatory statutory rights are not limited by either
agreement.
Start a purchase from the
Billing page while signed in to your Terav account. Review the
selected plan, price, currency, billing interval, and applicable taxes before confirming payment in
Polar. Payment availability depends on Polar’s supported countries, payment methods, and compliance
checks. Access is activated after payment or subscription status has been confirmed to Terav;
synchronization may take a short time.
7.2. Plans and usage limits
Available plans may include Starter, Practice, and Intensive, with monthly or annual billing where
offered. Plan allowances, available purchase options, and usage are shown in the application. The
billing interval determines when a subscription payment renews. Included allowances reset each usage
month, counted in monthly intervals from the start of the current paid Polar period, including for
annual billing. Review the allowances and reset date shown for your account before purchasing.
Usage is measured in clinical turns and laboratory or clinical-file uploads, rather than AI tokens.
Clinical turns include generated assistant replies and requests to refresh the clinical note. A
qualifying file upload uses the file allowance, and a subsequent AI interpretation can also use a
clinical turn. An allowance measures use of the Service, not a guaranteed clinical result. Speech
transcription and source searches do not incur a separate turn or file charge, although access to
these features may require an eligible account.
When an applicable allowance is exhausted, the affected AI functions may be unavailable until the
allowance resets or additional access is purchased. Reaching a limit does not itself authorize an
additional charge or an automatic Extra Pack purchase. Included allowances do not accumulate across
usage periods.
7.3. Trial and promotional access
The standard Terav free trial lasts 14 days from the time you register your account. No payment card is required to start the trial.
The trial includes 60 clinical turns and 12 file uploads, matching the Starter plan allowances at the time of this offer. These allowances apply to the entire 14-day trial period, not per day, and are counted as described in Section 7.2. The trial ends after 14 days even if unused allowances remain.
If an applicable allowance is exhausted before the trial ends, the affected AI functions become unavailable unless you purchase a paid subscription. When the trial ends, you may continue to view your existing cases and responses, but generating new AI responses requires a paid subscription.
The free trial does not automatically convert into a paid subscription, and no payment is charged when it ends. You do not need to cancel the trial to avoid charges. To obtain paid access, you must separately select a subscription and complete checkout through Polar. Once purchased, the paid subscription is subject to the renewal and cancellation terms in Section 7.4.
Terav may offer separate promotional access with a different duration or usage allowance. Any such differences will be disclosed in the relevant offer or in the application before that access begins.
7.4. Renewal, cancellation, and plan changes
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the interval disclosed at checkout until canceled. Manage
your subscription, payment details, and available invoices through the Polar customer portal opened
with the billing-management control in Terav. You can also contact Polar at
support@polar.sh for billing assistance.
Cancel before the next renewal to stop future subscription charges. For cancellation scheduled at
period end, access continues until the recorded period end, subject to remaining allowances and
these Terms. Simply stopping use, signing out, or removing the app does not cancel a subscription.
When our team deletes your Terav account, it first terminates the subscription linked to the account
in Terav’s billing records, if one remains in effect. This termination takes effect immediately,
rather than at the end of the paid period, and does not itself entitle you to a refund. If
termination cannot be confirmed, account deletion is postponed while the issue is resolved. Sending
a deletion request alone does not cancel billing; you can cancel renewal through the portal while
the request is pending.
Plan changes, any prorated charges or credits, and their effective dates depend on the options
presented by Polar. Review those details before confirming a change. A failed payment may lead to
retries, overdue status, and eventual suspension or expiry of paid access. Any temporary continued
access does not cancel the payment obligation or guarantee a fixed grace period.
7.5. Extra Pack
Where offered, an Extra Pack is a separate one-time purchase of additional clinical turns and file
allowance for an active subscription. Its price, allowance, and purchase limit are shown in the
application. It does not renew automatically, extend the subscription term, or create a separate
subscription. Unused pack allowances expire at the end of the usage month to which the pack is
credited and do not carry over. If a paid pack is not credited, contact support with the order
reference so the issue can be investigated and resolved.
7.6. Refunds and billing issues
For a refund request, duplicate or incorrect charge, or paid access that was not provided, contact
info@terav.vet or
support@polar.sh, quoting your account email and order
reference. Do not send full card details or clinical records with a billing request.
Refund requests are reviewed individually, taking into account the purchase, use of the Service, any
delivery or billing problem, applicable law, and Polar’s rules. We do not offer an unconditional
money-back guarantee or a fixed voluntary refund window. Any refund is processed through Polar.
Cancellation and a refund are separate actions: cancellation does not automatically refund a
payment, and a refund does not by itself cancel future subscription renewals. Following a full
refund of an Extra Pack, Terav may remove the allowance credited by that order. Recorded usage is
not reduced, so the available balance may decrease or be exhausted. If the allowance shown does not
reflect a processed refund, contact support to reconcile it. Mandatory refund, withdrawal, and other
consumer rights, where applicable, and rights to dispute a payment with your payment provider remain
unaffected.
7.7. Changes to paid offers
The price and allowances disclosed for a purchase apply to that purchase. Material changes to an
existing subscription’s price or allowances will be communicated before they apply, with any notice
or consent required by law. Changes will not retrospectively increase charges for a paid period. You
may cancel renewal if you do not accept the new offer.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted
operation, absence of errors, or absolute accuracy of AI-generated interpretations.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service owner is not liable for indirect,
incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service.
10. Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended or terminated for breach of these Terms, breach of applicable law, or where
required to protect Service security and integrity. Paid AI access may also be restricted when a
trial or subscription ends, a payment fails, or an applicable usage limit is reached, as described
in Section 7. These provisions do not exclude mandatory remedies for a paid service that has not
been provided.
11. Amendments
The document version, effective date, and last-updated date are shown above. Material changes
affecting an existing paid subscription will be communicated in advance by email or in the Service,
with any notice or consent required by applicable law. Pricing and allowance changes are also
subject to Section 7.7. Updated Terms do not retrospectively alter completed purchases.
12. Dispute resolution
Disputes with the Terav operator should first be addressed through good-faith negotiations. Failing
settlement, they are subject to the competent courts of the Republic of Armenia unless mandatory law
provides otherwise. Disputes concerning Polar’s payment and checkout services are governed by the
applicable Polar Buyer Terms. Nothing in these Terms removes non-waivable rights or remedies under
applicable law.
